Key Features

The ALA SMALTO lines are the best range of products for traditional wood burning stoves and fireplaces.
The careful selection of raw materials and the use of cutting-edge technologies are at the base of the production chain and each item ensures maximum durability and performance over times ALA SMALTO products are made entirely of porcelain steel and TERM® technology.

The enameling covers and protects the smoke channel not only externally, but also internally along its entire length, guaranteeing its total inalterability both in terms of structure and aesthetics. All items are CE Certificates according to UNI EN 1856-2, UNI EN 1443 with pressure class N1, T600 temperature resistance and maximum corrosion resistance class, V2. “Intact even after several years of intensive use.”

ALA SMALTO top:
Smoke channels at the top of aesthetics and performance. The top line guarantees the Premium Italian Quality style of the classic and aeternum lines, combining it with an essential design with elegant and imperceptible finishes, extremely modern.

Connecting flue pipes for wood stoves, made of steel, high thickness, welded and internally and externally covered with porcelain enamel. The application of the innovative porcelain enamel coating called TERM® allows ALA spa to assure, for ALA Smalto top smoke ducts, the maintenance of the color, a bigger resistance to acid condensate, to high temperatures, scratches and rust. The particular coating confers a special opaque effect that perfectly meet the new aesthetic requirements. Available in matt black and grey colors. Certified according to the UNI EN 1856-2, UNI EN 1443 rules with N1 pressure class, resistant to high temperatures T600 and V2 corrosion resistance class. Total thickness 1,5/1,6 mm.

The ala smalto line is porcelain with a treatment that gives the products extraordinary quality and performance.
Porcelain enamel is a vitreous coating that protects and decorates surfaces. Highly performing, it is obtained from the fusion of inorganic raw materials of mineral and artificial origin, subsequently solidified by rapid cooling. The artifacts to which it is applied are vitrified with a firing process in very high temperature ovens. This determines the uniform application and penetration of the enamel on the support and gives life to a new composite material called “porcelain steel”.

Technological characteristics of porcelain steel:

RESISTANCE TO OXIDATION
Porcelain steel protects metal products, extending their life indefinitely.

RESISTANCE TO CHEMICAL AGENTS
Detergents (organic solvents, detergents and disinfectants) can be used safely on enameled surfaces without causing damage.

RESISTANCE TO ATMOSPHERIC AGENTS
Rain, pollutants, salinity, sunlight and sudden changes in temperature do not damage the glazed surface and do not change its color or brilliance.

WATERPROOF TO LIQUIDS
If intact, the enameled surfaces are free of porosity and cracks, therefore completely impermeable to liquids.

RESISTANCE TO ABRASION AND HARDNESS
The enameled products have a very hard glass surface with high resistance to shocks, scratches, abrasion and wear. According to the “Mohs scale” the enamels are between 5 ° and 7 °.

IMPACT RESISTANCE
Even the thinnest layers of enamel ensure good resistance to accidental impacts.

RESISTANCE TO HIGH TEMPERATURES
Porcelain surfaces do not undergo degradation with heat or in contact with direct flame. Furthermore, all enamels easily withstand thermal shock, even above 30 °C.

RESISTANCE AND STABILITY OF COLORS
The porcelain surfaces can be colored in a wide range of glossy, opaque and semi-opaque colors, which remain stable over time, not fading or fading. changing hue.

HYGIENICITY AND NON -TOXICITY
The hard, smooth and porosity-free surface makes it impossible to form small scratches in which dirt or soot could cling. Porcelain steel is an inert material and therefore does not emit or absorb odors.

MAINTENANCE
Thanks to their hardness and resistance to abrasion, the enameled items are easy to clean, and this determines their ease of maintenance.

ENVIRONMENT AND SUSTAINABLE PRODUCTION
ALA spa, thanks to the application of modern technologies, achieves maximum results with the minimum use of raw materials and the minimum production of residues and waste. Porcelain-coated products, unlike plasticized, galvanized or painted ones, are eco-compatible and, as they do not produce emissions, they allow us to satisfy increasingly restrictive environmental regulations. Porcelain steel is built with 97% recyclable material.
